Zlata Street is one of the most famous streets of the capital of the Czech Republic

This miniature, like a toy street with bright houses built into the fortress wall, is sure to visit all tourists.

In the 15th century, a fire was not far from Grad, in this regard, the emperor allowed court minters in gold and archers to settle in these small houses. There was few places, and there are more than enough to settle in the strong walls of the locks. This story did not seem interesting to many, and a legend appeared about the alchemists of the emperor, supposedly settled on this street to make gold. They really received this metal, but in what way, only Emperor Rudolf knew only.

Currently, on Golden Street you can buy souvenirs, engravings, dolls, but the price for them is by no means cheap. Closer to the night, when the merchants leave, the street returns to the Middle Ages, and two towers for the conclusion of criminals, located one at the beginning, the other at the end of the street, become more gloomy. One of the towers – Daliborka is famous for the fact that a knight Dalibor was imprisoned in it. He played the violin so as not to die. For a good game, the townspeople threw food and money to him. And to this day, Chekhov has a popular saying: “The need taught Dalibor to play the violin”.
