In order to manage the hotel, first you need to determine what level the hotel will have. Today there is a standard category of hotel division, the so -called “stars” system. This is the French principle of classification of hotels, which is common all over the world.

The hotel farm is divided into five categories: from one to four “stars”, as well as hotels of the Lux Stars class. But there is some difference between “our stars” and the European classification. Indeed, in Russia, a hotel with very gorgeous comfortable rooms can remain four-star for many years only because the parking lot does not provide for the right amount of the car or because the hotel is located not in the very center of the city, but nearby. After all, the prestige factor in the country plays a huge role.

Due to the difficult procedure for obtaining and designing categories of comfort, many managers seek to create a small mini-hotel and just work, to conduct a hotel farm, not particularly thinking about the prestigious status of “5 stars”. As in Europe, the market of small hotels is developing widely in Russia. For little money, the city guest can settle in a cozy room where he will be provided with individual service. Hotel management of this type is a rather troublesome business, because it is necessary to provide service and maintenance at the highest level. But this factor is balanced by the fact that in such hotels there is usually no conference room, no sports clubs, nor pools. Therefore, the staff is directly engaged in maintenance of numbers. Yes, and visitors to such hotels come to mini-hotels not for entertainment, but in order to just spend the night in comfortable conditions, and the next day to send to the city on their business.

Hotel management, in which less than 50 rooms, is no less easy than managing a large hotel. Despite the fact that the level of services offered in different mini-hotels is different, because it can be both hostels and hotels of the Lux class, it is necessary to create comfortable conditions in each room. But still, it is easier to keep track of the quality of service in small hotels, so according to statistics, it is they who are in great demand among people who are important that the service is at the highest level. But in general, only 40% prefer mini-hotels.
