If we talk about the sights of the city of Avignon, then one cannot help but mention its papal palace. It is this palace that is the largest feudal castle throughout Europe. This castle was built for 30 years with French architects, and the interior decoration was carried out by Italian masters. During the construction of the castle, three dads changed: Benedict XII, Clement VI and Innocent VII.

Another attraction of the city is the Saint-Benesian bridge, which was built through two sleeves of the Rona River. The length of the bridge is 900 meters, and it has twelve arches. However, in 1226, after the fall of the city, the bridge was almost completely destroyed, and currently four spans and the chapel of St. Nikolai.
